Building Solid Fundamental Skills Through Two Years of Private Soccer Training

This time, I would like to introduce a fourth-grade elementary school player who has been taking private soccer lessons with me in Komazawa for approximately two years.

Since the beginning of his training, our goal has been to build a strong foundation in essential soccer skills.

We have repeatedly worked on fundamental techniques such as ball touches, dribbling, passing, and ball control—skills that are essential for playing soccer.

One of the most important things we focus on is being able to move the ball exactly where the player wants it to go.

In soccer, it is not enough to simply touch or control the ball. It is important to control the ball in a way that prepares the player for the next action they want to make.

For this reason, during each lesson, we carefully focus on the quality of every touch. I also provide detailed instruction on small but important aspects, such as body positioning, how to use the feet, and where to place the ball.

Through two years of consistent training, his ability to control and handle the ball has gradually become more stable, and he is now showing greater confidence in many situations on the field.

In youth soccer, it is important not only to focus on visible results, but also to gradually increase the number of things a player can do through consistent practice.

I will continue to provide private soccer lessons tailored to each player’s individual level and challenges, helping them recognize and enjoy their own progress.
