Private soccer lesson in Tokyo from the Saipan
This time, we have a student from Saipan who came to Japan for private soccer lessons.
It’s been a few years since she started playing soccer, but she wasn’t able to master the basics during team practice, so in this lesson, I helped her to improve some of the basics.
We started the lesson with the goal of making it fun by checking whether she could move the ball, stop it, and kick it, and then teaching her how to move her body when dribbling and how to touch the ball.
For younger elementary school students, it’s much more important to teach them how to enjoy soccer and get them wanting to practice on their own, rather than just teaching them the finer details.
That’s why we used a game format to help her learn the basics of dribbling and receiving.
It was a short lesson, but we hope she continues to enjoy soccer in the future!
I look forward to seeing him when she comes back to Tokyo again.
